Where to Eat in Barcelona – Near La Sagrada Familia

If you’re visiting La Sagrada Familia and looking for a place to eat, we highly recommend La Paradeta.  They’re known for their fresh and relatively inexpensive seafood (a variety of fish and shellfish), sold by weight, and cooked while you wait (your choice of grilled or fried). Here’s how it works:

1) choose what you like from the ‘seafood on ice’ display, let the server know how much you want and how you’d like it cooked. If you’re undecided, ask the server what’s best.

2) order drinks and pay at the register – keep your receipt, you’ll need it when you pick up your order at the ‘pick-up’ window.

3) Claim a table in the dining area and wait for your ticket/table number to be called. Note: Since some things cook faster than others, you may not get all of the dishes at one time, so you may have to make a few trips to the ‘pick-up’ window. Enjoy!

La Paradeta is located at Passatge Simó 18, about 3 minute’s walk from the Basilica.
