Eiffel Tower Paris

Whenever anyone asks us where to go on a first time trip to Europe, our answer is always the same.  Paris!  It’s an exciting city and not only is it the capital of France, but it’s the European capital of culture.  And, with ancient origins dating back over 2000 years, it’s unbelievably rich in history, leaving it with no shortage of things to see.   There are the quintessential and iconic attractions – the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, the Champs-Élysées, Notre-Dame, and the Louvre.  Then, there’s Paris underground – the Métro, the catacombs and the city sewers, more museums than we can count, and so much art that it spills out onto the streetsYet, all of this aside, just strolling along the Seine or wandering through the quaint neighborhoods is enough to entertain a person for days.  We never get tired of it and enjoy discovering something new each time we visit.

    Hi Mike,

What do you recommend as best method to get from CDG into downtown Paris?

Bonjour! Excellent website. I’m taking my first trip in part anniversary and in part catching a game at the Euros! Wondering, as i’m trying to save the wife form futbol everyday day what you recommend as a day excursion (get away) we were thinking Brussels or London for the day. And as someone that knows Paris. Any good ideas to take in a show (not so tourist Cabaret i.e. Rouge, Lido) something unique adult, a Parisian would go and only know. thanks Mike! -Rene
