Thank you for such great detailed information I will be using it on our trips to siena and San Gimignano from florence. I am surprised you haven’t done one on Rome. We were there 2014 so have some experience where to go and what to do. So we will b able to enjoy it more this time round. Will let you know how we go.

Hi Margaret, Thanks for stopping by our site. We appreciate your comments and hope you enjoy your time in Italy. We look forward to hearing how things go for you. We are very interested in doing a page on Rome; we have visited, but don’t have the content needed to do it justice. Hopefully, we’ll return to Rome in the near future. It’s a beautiful city! Happy and safe travels.

    Hi Mike
Your blog is amazingly helpful, your recommendations about the south of France is so genuine and helpful, given that its only 3 days away from my France trip, I still couldn’t find any useful information before I looked at your blog, your blog is so concentrated on useful information and I really appreciate it. Thanks for all the information that you provide, I am now certain that I will have an unforgettable trip.
    Regards
    Marcus

Hi Mike, I can’t thank you enough for your “Easy way to get to…” video and guide! I was able to travel by train like a pro in France because of you!
I hope your next destination is Japan because I need help taking train there!
    My best!

Hi Tara, It’s great to get such wonderful feedback. Thanks! Unfortunately, we have no plans to visit Japan at this time. Best of luck and thanks again!

  5. Hello Mike.
Thanks ever so much for a brilliant guide. I’m visiting Florence in April 2017 and wanted to do a few day trips…the information you have provided on Siena and San Gimignano is brilliant and invaluable. I’ll be staying over-night in Pisa on my day of arrival so plan to spend the day there and before my flight on my return to the UK.
The information you have provided is clear and very useful.
I’m now even more excited than I was before 🙂 If that’s possible since Florence has been a long held dream of mine.
    Many thanks
    Cindy

My wife and I are planning a trip to Amsterdam, Delft, Bruges, Brussels with final destination in Maastricht. Your videos, suggestions, level of detail, conciseness and unpretentiousness have been most helpful to us. I couldn’t have put together a more informative easy-to-navigate website – well done and thank you!

      Hi Michael,
Thanks for your comments! We hope you and your wife enjoy your travels.

  7. My wife and I were in Amsterdam recently and used your website to visit Zaanse Schans to see the windmills. Just wanted to thank you for the great information and clear, simple instructions. We had a great visit to the quaint little town.

The only issue we ran into using it was because the ticketing machines wouldn’t accept our credit cards so we had to buy from the ticketing office. The person at the ticket office said it was because we were not citizens there but I’m not sure if that is accurate. We had a few other issues using credit cards as some machines require the use of a PIN. It’s probably best to ensure you have enough change in euros to purchase the tickets or find the change machine.

Thanks again and look forward to your future travel updates!
